The legacy of Thomas W. Cross lives on through the many generations. The love for his fellow man and the seeds of his faith, have taken deep root. These are cultivated by many of his descendants and nourished by the continuing love of God.

Thomas William Cross was born February 1, 1826 in Louden County, Virginia. He lived in Virginia until 1851, when he moved to Hocking County, Ohio at the age of 25. He was the son of Mr. Lee and Ms. Cross.

· In 1869, he and his family left Ohio for Mecosta County, Michigan

Thomas died April 24, 1897, after a long illness and is buried in Morgan Cemetery, now known as Wheatland Cemetery in Mecosta County, Michigan.
