Text Box: 2nd Generation: Joseph Cross, the third child of Thomas W. and Catherine Harper Cross was born March 31, 1858 in Hocking County, Ohio. . He came to Michigan in 1869 with his family. He married Rosanna Lett, 1884, in Remus. To this union one son, Samuel, was born. Shortly after the birth of Samuel, Rosanna died. Joseph later married Arilla Lett in 1887, they had 8 children. Joseph owned land near Weidman, Michigan, which he farmed. He was a kind man, with compassion for his friends, neighbors, and family. Their children: 3rd Generation Samuel married Safronia (Toni) Sleet 3rd Generation Lola, Leroy, Edna May, Ida Janette, Stella, Lela, Leona, and two unnamed children Samuel married Safronia (Toni) Sleet Ida Janette married Hubert Pratt Later married John Bracy Lela Leona married Charles Cannon.
