Text Box: 2nd Generation: John William Cross, the first son, second child of Thomas W. and Catherine Harper Cross was born April 26, 1856 in Athens County, Ohio. Always an industrious worker of good habits, he soon acquired the land which he own until his death. He was a prosperous farmer and the Remus, Michigan area. On April 29, 1883, he married Theodosia Guy, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Segee Guy. The were married for 55 years. The had one child that died shortly after birth.
